Regular Meeting
D. Schreiber called the meeting to order at 7:35.
Pre-application - John Starinovich regarding proposed airator/waterfall in his pond on Lustig Road.
John Starinovich, Rick Zulick, a soil scientist, and Mark Sousa, of Action Water Gardens, were present. The applicant would like to put a water fall in the pond on his property. It would run by electricity and provide esthetics as well as oxygen to the pond. Mr. Zulick said it would protect the quality and integrity of the pond. He said he delineated the wetlands years ago and the pond does it does not have an inlet or outlet.
Mr. Zulick presented plans and said the wetland is not connected to the pond except for ground water. Mr. Sousa showed the proposed design and a discussion was held. M. Drobney asked if they would have to drop the water level and Mr. Zulick said no and presented the sedimentation and erosion controls on the plans.
T. Gutowski asked how many gallons a minute it would pump and Mr. Sousa said 66 gallons a minute. T. Gutowski asked the area of disturbance and Mr. Zulick said 42 square feet. He said they are trying to bring dissolved oxygen in; there’s very little vegetation in the pond but there are algae blooms. He said it will not have an impact to surrounding wetland and no negative impact to the pond.
Mr. Starinovich will come before the Commission at the next meeting.

The Commission has received a letter from their engineer stating that all his concerns have been addressed. T. Gutowski moved to approve the application with standard conditions, M. Drobney seconded the motion. All in favor. Motion carries.
