MINUTES
PUBLIC HEARING
March 18, 2009
The public hearing was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Michael Eldredge.
First Selectman read the call of the hearing.
Item I
To discuss its Fiscal Year 2009 Community Development Block Grant program Application and to solicit citizen input.
Selectman Eldredge introduced Larry Wagner who explained the purpose of the resolution. He explained the conditions and the purpose of the Small Cities Community Development Program. The town has to apply by May 29th and would cover a two year period to carry out the project. Homeowners would be eligible according to household income, persons living and working in the home.
He answered questions and concerns.
Item II
To discuss an Ordinance renaming the Recreation Commission as the Parks and Recreation Commission.
Selectman Eldredge explained the Ordinance.
Discussion followed.
The commission wanted to clarify the responsiblies of maintaining the athletic fields only.
