First Selectman Mailhos called the meeting to order at 7:33 P.M. with Selectmen Kowalyshyn & Blessington, Public Works Director, Derek Dimmock, Moderator, Suzanne Chapman and residents.
- Set Date, Time & Place for Referendum
First Selectman Mailhos stated that she has spoken with the Registrars of Voters and the Town Clerk and the date that seems to work best for everyone will be August 18, 2015.
First Selectman Mailhos moved to set the Referendum for Tuesday, August 18, 2015 with a recommended time (which is our standard voting time) of 6:00 AM – 8:00 PM in the Town Office Building upper level at 40 Old Farms Road.
Selectman Blessington seconded the motion.
Suzanne Chapman, Republican Registrar of Voters commented that absentee ballots will be available in person in the Town Clerk’s beginning Friday, August 7th. They can be mailed back prior to 2PM on August 18, 2015. First Selectman Mailhos added that an official notice will be submitted in the local newspaper, as standard policy and sent via public notice.
Vote: 3 Yes (Mailhos, Kowalyshyn & Blessington) 0 No.
- Award lease for 2015 John Deere Backhoe/Loader
Selectman Kowalyshyn moved to accept the lease for the 2015 John Deere 410L Backhoe/Loader in the amount of $125,000 to Signature Public Funding Corp. for a rate of 2.65%
Selectman Blessington seconded the motion.
Derek stated that we should get the backhoe in about 8 weeks, once the purchase order has been issued.
Vote: 3 Yes (Mailhos, Kowalyshyn & Blessington) 0 No.
Selectman Blessington moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:58 P.M.
First Selectman Mailhos seconded the motion.
