Special Meeting August 5, 2014

First Selectman Mailhos called the meeting to order at 8:47 P.M. with the following in attendance: Selectmen Kowalyshyn & Blessington and residents.
First Selectman Mailhos moved to approve the fees for the Transfer Station as was presented at the Town Meeting. Selectman Kowalyshyn seconded the motion.
A discussion was held on the fees that businesses pay for a Bulky Waste Permit. Selectman Mailhos suggested leaving the fees as they are. Selectman Blessington wanted to know how long the fees would be in effect. They would be in effect until the BOS decided to change them. It was suggested that the fees be revisited annually by SWAC and the BOS.
Selectman Blessington made an amendment to the motion on the floor to make Transfer Station Fees effective immediately until July 1, 2015. First Selectman Mailhos seconded the motion.
Vote: 2 Yes (Mailhos & Blessington) 1 No (Kowalyshyn)
A vote was taken on the original motion with the amendment.

Notification of Transfer Station Fees will be sent by E-blast, the Willington Word and signs will be made up.
First Selectman Mailhos moved to award the 7 year lease for the 2015 Freightliner 114SD Chassis dump truck with all season body in the amount of $162,000 to SunTrust Equipment Financing & Leasing Corp. for a rate of 2.66%. Selectman Kowalyshyn seconded the motion.
Vote: 3 Yes (Mailhos, Kowalyshyn & Blessington) 0 No.
Selectman Kowalyshyn moved to adjourn at 9:02 PM.
First Selectman Mailhos seconded the motion.
