Meeting Minutes
Town Office Building October 26, 2011
Selectmen’s Conference Room 6:00 P.M.
First Selectman Mailhos called the meeting to order at 6:00 P.M. with the following in attendance: Selectman Blessington and a resident. Selectman Millix was absent.
First Selectman Mailhos moved to call the following meeting:
TOWN OF WILLINGTON NOTICE AND WARNING - SPECIAL TOWN MEETING
The electors of the Town of Willington and all persons who are entitled to vote in Town Meeting on the matters mentioned in the following warning are hereby warned and notified to meet in Town Meeting at the TOWN HALL at 11 COMMON ROAD in Willington on Tuesday, November 15th, 2011 at 7:00 P.M. for the following purposes:
ITEM I
To see if the townspeople, on the recommendation of the Board of Finance will authorize an additional appropriation of $50,000 from the General Fund Balance to Line Item 0503, Capital Projects for drainage improvements and repairs to Burma Road.

Selectman Blessington seconded the motion.
First Selectman Mailhos recapped the reason for the call of the meeting: The Board of Finance met last Thursday and voted to make the recommendation based on information relayed from the Board of Selectmen who received a Notice of Violation from the Inland Wetlands Commission because of the condition of Burma Road. Letters in support of the project have also been received from the Conservation Commission and the residents on that road have urged for the repairs to be made. She also added that Public Works and the Town Engineer have looked at ways to reduce the cost to have the road fixed, this is the recommended way.
Vote: 2 Yes (Mailhos & Blessington) 0 No.
Selectman Blessington moved to adjourn at 6:05 P.M.
First Selectman Mailhos seconded the motion.
Vote: 3 Yes (Mailhos, Millix & Blessington) 0 No.
