BOARD OF SELECTMEN
Special Meeting Minutes
Town Office Building November 4, 2010
Selectmen’s Conference Room 1:00 P.M.
First Selectman Mailhos called the meeting to order at 1:00 P.M. with the following in attendance: Selectman
Millix & Blessington with the Registrar of Voters and Residents.
- Set date, time and place for Referendum
First Selectman Mailhos said that we have deadlines that we need to take into consideration when setting the date
for the Referendum. It needs to be held within 30 days of when the contract was filed in the Town Clerk’s Office, and cannot be less than 7 days after this meeting. November 11 is Veteran’s Day, and November 12 works best
for the Registrar’s schedules. Also, the polling room is booked as of November 13th due to the collection of the food from the Boy Scout’s Food Drive.
The cost associated with the Referendum was discussed with the Registrar of Voters. The Registrars will do whatever they can to save as much as possible as this referendum has not been budgeted for.
First Selectman Mailhos moved to set the Referendum for Friday, November 12, 2010 in the Common
Room of the Town Office Building; 40 Old Farms Road from 6:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M.
Selectman Blessington seconded the motion.
Vote: 3 Yes (Mailhos, Millix & Blessington) 0 No.
First Selectman Mailhos moved to adjourn the meeting at 1:10 P.M.
Selectman Millix seconded the motion.
Vote: 3 Yes (Mailhos, Millix & Blessington) 0 No.
Respectfully submitted,
Robin Campbell
