Special Meeting July 15, 2009
Town Office Building 10:00 A.M.
A. Executive Session – Personnel Issues:
First Selectman Eldredge motioned to go into executive session at 10:00 A.M. with the following in attendance: Selectmen Palmer & Charette, an Employee, and the Union Representative.
Selectman Charette seconded the motion.
Vote: 3 Yes (Eldredge, Palmer & Charette) 0 No
First Selectman Eldredge motioned to come out of executive session at 10:30 A.M.
Selectman Charette seconded the motion.
Vote: 3 Yes (Eldredge, Palmer & Charette) 0 No
B. Workshop Chip seal Route:
Discussion was held on roads to be chip sealed this year. The first discussion was on “in place pricing” costs that were presented to the Town.
Second discussion was on “actual pricing” costs, with a margin of error in place; which is cheaper than the in place pricing. This pricing will allow the Town to stay within this year’s budget.
First Selectman Eldredge motioned to award Gorman Group, LLC the purchase of 47,832 gallons of CRS-2 Asphalt Emulsions at $2.23 per gallon, for the chipper spreader at .13¢ per gallon and rubber tired roller at .12¢ per gallon for a total of $2.48 per gallon as per their quote dated May 12, 2009, which is offered at no increase from last year’s pricing. Grand total of $118,623.36.
Selectman Palmer seconded the motion.
Vote: 3 Yes (Eldredge & Palmer & Charette ) 0 No
First Selectman Eldredge motioned to adjourn the meeting at 11:07 A.M.
Selectman Charette seconded the motion.
