Special Meeting May 27, 2009
Selectmen’s Conference Room 10:00 A.M.
First Selectman Eldredge called the meeting to order at 10:02 A.M. with the following in attendance: Selectmen Palmer & Charette, and residents.
- Discussion of WYFSS -Social Worker Position
Discussion was held for the current position that we have with Access Agency. The Town has decided to cut the 2 positions down to 1 position. First Selectman Eldredge would like to post this position as a Town position, rather than going through Access. Per the current budget of what is paid to Access, the Town could put toward it’s own employee, and have control over that position. The position would report directly to the First Selectman. The salary and benefits would come from the allotted $43,000 that we currently pay Access Agency.
First Selectman Eldredge motioned to place an ad for the Social Services position.
Selectman Palmer seconded the motion.
Vote: 3 Yes (Eldredge, Palmer & Charette) 0 No.
- Executive Session – FOI Ruling Appeal
First Selectman Eldredge motioned to go into Executive Session at 10:35 A.M.
Selectman Charette seconded the motion.
Vote: 3 Yes (Eldredge, Palmer & Charette) 0 No
First Selectman Eldredge motioned to come out of Executive Session at 11:12 A.M.
Selectman Charette seconded the motion.
Vote: 3 Yes (Eldredge, Palmer & Charette) 0 No.
Selectman Eldredge motioned to adjourn the meeting at 11:15 A.M.
Selectman Palmer seconded the motion.
