SPECIAL MEETING MAR. 24, 2008
TOWN OFFICE BUILDING 4:00 P.M.
First Selectman Eldredge called the meeting to order at 4:07 P.M. with the following in attendance: Selectmen Palmer
& Charette, Karl Acimovic, G. Jones, J. Poole and S. Yorgensen.
GRAVEL PIT
Discussion followed on the gravel pit, the fact that the permit has run out and if the Town wants to renew it.
The Town will clean up the gravel pit in order to meet the regulations and sometime in the future may apply to
renew the permit.
INSURANCE RENEWAL
The Board has received only one insurance bid and that was from the present company. The figures were reviewed. The Property, Auto and Liability cost is the same as last year. Workers’ Compensation has increased 10.49% over last year.
FIRST SELECTMAN ELDREDGE MOVED TO ACCEPT METROGARD’S PROPERTY, AUTO & LIABILITY PREMIUM OF $61,860 FOR 2008-2009.
Selectman Palmer seconded the motion.
VOTE: 3 YES (ELDREDGE, PALMER & CHARETTE) 0 NO
FIRST SELECTMAN ELDREDGE MOVED TO ACCEPT MIRMA’S WORKERS’ COMPENSATION PREMIUM OF $63,389 FOR 2008-2009.
Selectman Palmer seconded the motion.
VOTE: 3 YES (ELDREDGE, PALMER & CHARETTE) 0 NO
FIRST SELECTMAN ELDREDGE MOVED TO ADJOURN THE MEETING AT 5:10 P.M.
Selectman Charette seconded the motion.
VOTE: 3 YES (ELDREDGE, PALMER & CHARETTE) 0 NO
