BOARD OF SELECTMEN

SPECIAL MEETING                                                                                                                    JUNE 25, 2007
TOWN OFFICE BUILDING                                                                                                              6:00 P.M.

First Selectman Eldredge called the meeting to order at 6:00 P.M. with the following in attendance:  Selectmen Patton and Lewis, L. Nicholls and residents.

PUBLIC WORKS   
The Board signed bills.  Lynn confirmed that the Transfer Station would be closed on Wed. July 4, 2007. Discussion followed on GASB, it is 75% done.  Discussion followed on interviews for the Engineering Services for the Route 74 Bridge; they are scheduled for 6/27/07 at 6:00 P.M.  Nothing from FEMA yet on the extension.
The prints for the Tinkerville Rd. project will be ready Tuesday morning.  Lynn is waiting to hear from the State on chip sealing award.  Selectman Patton is still waiting for electrical and vent prices for the container.

FIRST SELECTMAN ELDREDGE MOVED TO HOLD THE FOLLOWING TOWN MEETING.
Selectman Patton seconded the motion.
VOTE:  3 YES (ELDREDGE, PATTON & LEWIS)    0  NO

The electors of the Town of Willington and all persons who are entitled to vote in Town Meeting on the matters mentioned in the following warning are hereby warned and notified to meet in Town Meeting at the TOWN HALL at 11 COMMON ROAD in Willington on July 2, 2007 at 7:00 P.M. for the following purposes:

ITEM I
To see if the townspeople, on the recommendation of the Board of Finance, will authorize the
appropriation of $60,000 from Capital Projects - LOCIP – Tinkerville Road Cross culvert replacement to be reimbursed by the State of Connecticut Local Capital Improvement Program.

ITEM II
To see if the townspeople, on the recommendation of the Board of Finance, will authorize the appropriation of $18,000 from Capital Reserve fund for professional engineering services for a review of the CONNDOT plan for repairs & improvements to the route 74 bridge over the Willimantic River.  

ITEM III
To see if the townspeople, on the recommendation of the Board of Finance, will authorize the appropriation of $30,000 from Capital Projects-LOCIP-River Road Recreation Ball Field Improvements to be reimbursed by the State of Connecticut Local Capital Improvement Program.

SELECTMAN PATTON MOVED TO ADJOURN THE MEETING AT 6:15 P.M.
Selectman Lewis seconded the motion.
VOTE:  3 YES (ELDREDGE, PATTON & LEWIS)    0  NO
