SPECIAL MEETING APR. 24, 2001
TOWN OFFICE BUILDING 7:45 A. M.
First Selectman Patton called the meeting to order at 7:48 A.M. with the following in attendance: Selectman Knight and R. Tulis. Selectman Ennis was absent.
First Selectman Patton read the petition for a Town Meeting: “To decide whether any exemption of Municipal property from Willington Zoning regulations previously approved pursuant to C.G.S. section 8.2 shall be withdrawn twenty four hours after a proposal for school bus parking at 40 Old Farms Road is finally resolved pursuant to C.G.S. section 8.24.”
SELECTMAN KNIGHT MOVED TO DENY THE PETITION.
First Selectman Patton seconded the motion.
VOTE: 2 YES (PATTON & KNIGHT) 0 NO
Selectman Knight commented that the petition is moot; we do not have any Municipal property exempt from zoning regulations so to have a Town Meeting to un-exempt is unnecessary, and it is a moot point.
First Selectman Patton commented that he was told it is superfluous but he will agree it is a moot point.
SELECTMAN KNIGHT MOVED TO ADJOURN THE MEETING AT 7:50 A.M.
First Selectman Patton seconded the motion.
VOTE: 2 YES (PATTON & KNIGHT) 0 NO
