Committee Minutes
Regular Meeting
June 9, 2010
Attending Members: Joe Colangelo Greg Suchy, Mike Pinatti and Al Ference were in attendance.
Non Members: None
Meeting called to order at 7:06 PM.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
The minutes from the previous WRC meeting were reviewed and some minor changes were made. Al made a motion to accept the minutes without changes, which was seconded by Mike. All members were unanimous in approval.
GENERAL DISCUSSION:
- General comments made that information in Willington Word was very well done. Compliments were made to Teri Gareau’s for her effort.
- Field maintenance was mentioned about weeds on the ball fields and need to treat them soon.
DIRECTORS REPORT:
- Directors report was submitted
- Many activities continue to be offered. Some were cancelled due to low enrollment.
- Summer programs have been scheduled; Kayak, Zumba, Volleyball, Golf, Baseball.
- Summer camp is scheduled and staff is in place and registrations coming in. 35 registrations so far.
- Halls pond is staffed for the summer. Open on June 26th.
B. Budget was reviewed.
OLD BUSINESS:
- River Road update- RFP needs to continue to progress. Need to meet with Karl to finalize RFP to get out and begin receiving bids for the next phase of River Road.
- Electrical needs were discussed and Mike and Joe will move on getting permit submitted.
NEW BUSINESS:
A. Discussions for RRAC signage. Options were reviewed and discussed. Commission asked for additional sample signage.
ADJOURNMENT:
Joe motioned to adjourn, which was seconded by Bill Bilyak. The meeting adjourned at 7:55PM. The next meeting is scheduled for June 22, 2010 at 7:00PM at the Town Hall Office Building.
