Committee Minutes
Regular Meeting
October 27th 2009
7:00 PM
Attending Members: Greg Suchy, Joseph Colangelo, Bill Bilyak, Josh Walsh, Al Ference and Rich Mindek. Teri Gareau was also in attendance.
Meeting called to order at 7:10 PM.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
The minutes from the previous WRC meeting were reviewed with the following changes; (1. Summer Camp showed a $1,100.00 positive balance, 2. The time for next meeting under the adjournment section should be 7:00PM not 6:30PM). Al Ference made a motion to accept the minutes with changes, which was seconded by Josh Walsh.
GENERAL DISCUSSION:
DIRECTORS REPORT:
- New karate classes have started.
- Basketball registration is extended to the 13th and has been slow.
- High School pickup basketball will start on the 15th.
Drew Brown started building the raised flowerbeds at the senior center, and Nick Townsend and friends have completed the sealing of the fence at the RRAC.
The shed at the Town Hall Offices has been cleaned out and setup for use by several groups.
OLD BUSINESS:
- The RRAC STEAP paperwork will be resubmitted to reflect the changes in the original submittal to the present accepted installations.
- Fall field maintenance has been done to include aeration, over-seeding and fertilizing at the RRAC, and aeration and fertilizing at the Town Hall Fields.
- Basketball registration is at [63] players. This is ½ of last years count at this time. Coaching positions were discussed including providing Ben Taiman and Adam Swart a 7/8-grade boy’s team to coach as the basis of their senior project.
NEW BUSINESS:
No new business.
ADJOURNMENT:
Joe Colangelo motioned to adjourn, which was seconded by Al Ference. The meeting adjourned at 8:24PM. The next meeting is scheduled for November 24th, 2009 at 7:00PM at the Town Hall Office Building.
