Committee Minutes
Special Meeting
November 8th, 2006
7:00 PM
Attending Members: Joseph Colangelo, Mike Pinatti, Ed Taiman, Greg Suchy and Greg Blessing. John Sahi, Alan Ferrance and John Wojtyna were also in attendance.
Meeting called to order at 7:10 PM.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
The minutes from the previous WRC meeting were reviewed. Mike Pinatti made a motion to accept the minutes without changes, which was seconded by Joseph Colangelo. All members were unanimous in approval.
GENERAL DISCUSSION:
Ed Taiman is still pursuing some teachers at HMS regarding a “Willington Arts Program”. He is inviting them to our January meeting to discuss possibilities.
DIRECTORS REPORT:
John Sahi has reported the following:
· An RFP for fencing at the RRAC has been submitted.
· The final print for the RRAC is still not completed.
· A final balance for work to date at the RRAC is still pending.
· It is suggested that we repair the fence and gate at the NU entry to the RRAC and lock the gate to keep unwanted vehicles off the fields.
· John will call Mansfield to get some dates for “road” games.
OLD BUSINESS:
The teams for the upcoming basketball season were chosen. Coaches were also chosen for all teams. A list of teams will be provided.
NEW BUSINESS:
A. John Sahi has requested gym time for practice and games. The list of practice dates appropriate to teams will be drafted and submitted by Joseph Colangelo for delivery tomorrow.
B. John Sahi will post a meeting time and date for coaches and possible referees.
C. The high school “pick up” games will be held on Sundays from 3PM to 5PM. Registration forms will be available at the first scheduled date of play.
VI. ADJOURNMENT:
Greg Blessing motioned to adjourn, which was seconded by Ed Taiman. The meeting adjourned at 9:21PM. The next meeting is scheduled for November 21st, 2006 at 7:00PM at the Town Hall Office Building.
