Regular Meeting
October 24th, 2006
7:00 PM
Attending Members: Joseph Colangelo, Mike Harnad, Mike Pinatti, Ed Taiman and Greg Blessing. John Sahi was also in attendance.
Meeting called to order at 7:07 PM.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
The minutes from the previous WRC meeting were reviewed. Mike Pinatti made a motion to accept the minutes without changes, which was seconded by Ed Taiman. All members were unanimous in approval.
GENERAL DISCUSSION:
Maintenance of the athletic fields was discussed again. John Sahi is getting quotes on maintenance from local landscapers. We hope to get the quotes presented to the BOF and request an addition to our budget based on this work. Using a landscaper would alleviate the workload of the Public Works Department, and may produce better maintenance.
DIRECTORS REPORT:
John Sahi did not have a report for the WRC.

OLD BUSINESS:
A. The corner of the RRAC near the commuter lot looks like it is ready for raking and seeding. John Sahi will contact Knight Construction and request an update. We are waiting for Karl Asimovic to prepare an RFP for the fencing required by the PZC at the front and rear of the property. John Sahi will work with Karl this week to get the RFP completed.
B. Karl Asimovic has not altered the site plans for the RRAC as required by the PZC to reflect what will be considered the final and useable park this spring. John Sahi is working with Karl to complete this plan, but was not sure of a completion date. The RRAC will not be open for public use until this is completed.
NEW BUSINESS:
Team selection for the upcoming season could not be completed tonight. There were still not enough registered players to create teams. There are more coaching spots to fill as well. Scheduling and final team selections should be completed by the end of next week. This will require a “special” meeting. John Sahi needs to speak with the Mansfield Recreation Director in reference to the 5,6,7 and 8 grade teams playing Mansfield teams.
VI. ADJOURNMENT:
Greg Blessing motioned to adjourn, which was seconded by Joseph Colangelo. The meeting adjourned at 8:51PM. The next meeting is scheduled for November 5th, 2006 at 7:00PM at the Town Hall Office Building.
