Regular Meeting
Town Office Building and RRAC May 23rd 2016
40 Old Farms Road 7:00 PM
I. Approval of minutes from the 11/19/15, 12/7/15,1/25/16, and 4/25/16 meetings.
II. General discussion and open forum for anyone present. Joe Colangelo will allot time for
discussion and individual requests to speak.
III. Director’s report.
IV. Old Business:
A. Progress of RRAC projects including CIP funded irrigation project, shed build out
progress, scoreboard, and CIP partially funded exercise stations.
B. Discuss the review made by each WPRC member of the [4] fields and waterfront.
C. Review RRAC upgrades to be completed by LL and their progress to date,
including; staining the scoreboard posts, placing stone under the bleachers, and
creating a stone base at the front of the concession shed.
D. The fencing at the Town Office field needs repair. How do we apply payment for
this work, and how will we approach making maintenance repairs of this nature
going forward. Create a list of possible repairs per site that are on the horizon.
V. New Business:
A. Discuss the Recreation Department booth for Willington Day, what our event will
be and who will operate it.
B. We need a solution for the “disappearing” trash bags at the RRAC, and a concrete
base has been installed for a third trash bin near the basketball court, which needs
a container.
C. Review the upcoming summer department events and programs.
