Regular Meeting

Approval of minutes from the 4/18/11 meeting.
General discussion and open forum for anyone present. Joe Colangelo will allot time for discussion and individual requests to speak.
Directors report.
Old Business:
- Progress of the RRAC STEAP contracted items to date, and any associated RRAC items including the progress of electrical power installation. The walking path is nearly completed and volleyball court should start following the path completion.
New Business:
- Discuss plans for an opening day event on 6-4-11 with a rain date of 6-5-11. Bill Bilyak has an outline of the day’s events and possible volunteers associated with each event. Create a solid itinerary for Teri to create a flyer from. Review the need for any permits.
- Discuss the BOF meeting results from 4-21-11 which was attended by Teri Gereau and Joseph Colangelo. Consider the Fund 6 history including its origination, money held and spent to date, and how we can help to maintain and increase the fund. Listing new donors in the Willington Word annually and how their contributions have been used may be helpful, as well as looking for local business to continue supporting the fund. Also review how the fund should be used, how it impacts the Conservation Commission as well as the Parks and Recreation Commission, and what interaction the two groups should have.
