Chairman Marco called the meeting to order at 7:30 PM. Members seated as above.
PZC2015-10 Amend Zoning Regulation Section 5.02.01.02 to add Section 5.02.01.01.20 ~~Keeping of pleasure horse(s), including a building to house, exercise and train the pleasure horse(s). Notwithstanding the provisions ~of Section 7.01.03 and Table 7.1 of these regulations, on a parcel containing at least four (4) acres in accordance with Section 4.04.01 of these regulations, the Commission may grant a special permit for an accessory indoor equestrian riding building and outdoor equestrian riding area not open to the general public, for the exclusive personal use of the occupants of the property, their family and friends, who must not be required or allowed to pay any fee, provided that the size of the accessory indoor equestrian riding building does not exceed the gross area of the existing dwelling on the property by three hundred

The applicant was not present. This application will be on the May 5, 2015 agenda.
PZC2015-19 Application for waiver of Public Hearing for a Special Permit to have a retail store at 14 Tolland Turnpike ( Train Depot) (Map 30 Lot 13 Zone DC) Owner: Chace Realty LLC Applicant: Kristen Malbaurn (Received April 7, 2015 Public Hearing or Decision June 2, 2015)
Ms. Malbaurn was present. She said she would like to open a Garden and Gift Shoppe. It is a Special Needs agency that helps individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities seek meaningful employment. Ms. Malbaurn said they would sell seasonal items, plants, flowers, gifts, jewelry, etc. She said the hours would be 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Saturday with one supervisor there until 5:00 PM.
S. Yorgensen said the location was a prior retail store. Ms. Malbaum said the store needs some sprucing up; paint and the bathroom updated but she wants to keep the train depot theme. She added that the application should be under SISTERS LLC.
W. Parsell motioned to waive the Public Hearing since this use falls under the same Special Permit for a Retail Gift Shop previously issued. . E. Standish seconded the motion. All in favor Motion carried.

E. Standish motioned to approve the minutes of March 17, 2015. D. Roberts seconded the motion. P. Nevers abstained. All others in favor. Motion carried.
