APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Motion – Janice Boltseridge motioned to accept the July 30, August 13, Aug 15 and Aug 28 Special Meeting Minutes

Communication
Dot Drobney motioned to deny WYFSS application for Use of the Community Room on Wednesday Mornings. . The Willington Library is unable to provide additional time due to other outside organizations using the facility.

All in Favor Motion passes.
Director’s Report
Director’s Report reviewed and discussed.
Suzanne Chapman motioned - Library Aide position to be posted. Position will require 18 hours @ $10.16 per hour. The start date will be October 1, 2013. Ads will be posted in on the WPL website and home page. Distributed through Willington Town Email and on the State Library Website. Interviews will be held as soon as possible.

Treasurer’s Report
Suzanne Chapman reviewed and discussed July and August spreadsheet.
Old Business
Personnel issues were discussed.
New Business
Janice Boltseridge proposed a subcommittee to work on policy and procedures. The committee will then present proposed changes to the WLB.
WPL Material Selection Policy reviewed and discussed
BOARD CONCERNS
The trim exterior of the Willington Library should be painted. Three quotes should be obtained to paint the trim only. Roby Passardi to handle.
Light pole to be repaired.
Carpet in the Community Room is stained. Outside cleaning company to be hired to clean. Discussion on purchasing a carpet cleaner to have on hand from Schiller’s.
Catch basin in parking lot should be cleaned annually, confirmation needed as to when it was last cleaned.
Suzanne Chapman proposed changing over all banking to The Savings Institute of Willimantic.
Next meeting: September 10th @ 7.
