                        Library Board of Directors Meeting Minutes

February 12, 2012


PRESENT: Nancy Bailey, Suzanne Chapman, Elyse Sullivan, Katherine Kalagher-Ryan, and Roberta Passardi.

Absent: Janice Boltseridge, Dorothy Drobney

Meeting called to order at 6:35 p.m.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Suanne Chapman motioned to accept the 1/12 minutes with corrections.
Katherine Kalagher-Ryan seconded.
All in favor. Motion passes

PRESENT TO SPEAK:

Britney McDougal, Willington Library

COMMUNICATIONS

Tara Bergeron, Director WYFSS sent a letter received 1/24 accepting WLB proposal to store two bins in the room behind the Community Room.~

TREASURER REPORT

Reviewed and discussed.

To date the library has received $9357. from the donation challenge.

DIRECTORS REPORT

The library kitchen lock was broken. WJ Mountfourd was called in to evaluate the lock.

Willington Library will host the 2nd annual Hall School Art Show – 5/30 through 6/8.

Note to be sent to WYFSS that the Community Room will not be available during this time period.

The Custodian position search is underway and resumes are being received and placed in a binder for review.


NEW BUSINESS

  • The Willington Library budget will be submitted to the Board of Finance on 2/23/12. Nancy Bailey and Susan Chapman will present to the B of F. All Board members are encouraged to attend.
  • Britney McDougal provided and additional proposal to replace all 18 computers in additional to figures not to exceed $9000. See 1/2012 minutes.
Susan Chapman motion to amend the decision to purchase 7 iMac and 11 PC’s not to exceed $19,477.89 paid for by the Mr. North Fund.
