Library Board of Directors Minutes – December 14, 2010
Present: Roby Passardi, Paula Enderle, Dorothy Drobney, Katherine Kalagher-Ryan, Suzanne Chapman
Absent: Nancy Bailey, Shirley Ernst
1) Meeting called to order at 7:10 PM
2) Approval of Minutes – 6/8/2010 1st Dot Drobney, 2nd Kate Kalagher-Ryan – passed

11/9/10 1st Suzanne Chapman, 2nd Kate Kalagher-Ryan - passed
3) Present to Speak: None
4) Communications: None
5) Director’s Report: The Friends wine tasting fundraiser brought in $1,885.00
Peggy Winzler, former member of the Library Board passed away Dec. 6th
Staff evaluations are in process
6) Treasurer’s Report: The report was distributed. The library is in line with the budget. Supply line was discussed and the need for some building maintenance after 5 years – internal painting, carpet cleaning, etc.
7) Old Business:
A. Discussion continued – building maintenance and long range staff planning. Kate and Roby to work on Prezi presentation to town on January 12th
B. 501c (3) – The library Articles of Association we amended and voted on. Motion was made by Suzanne Chapman: To approve the Articles of Association as presented with replacement of text under Article 3 as discussed and the addition of the Board member names and addresses.
Second by Kate Kalagher Ryan, motion passed.
C. Staff evaluations are in process, Board to review next meeting
8) New Business
A. Election of officers tabled for full board meeting in January
B. 2011 meeting and holiday closing schedules adopted
C. Workshop meetings to be determined if needed in January.

10) Adjournment – Dot Drobney made motion, second Paula, meeting adjourned at 9pm
Debbie Linares brought in delicious Christmas cookies from the library cookie swap and we all agreed that the swap was a huge success.
