Meeting Minutes

W. Gangaway called the meeting to order at 6:03 PM.
W. Gangaway said the R. Campbell was still at the Senior Housing Recreation Area opening and would be running a few minutes late.
W. Gangaway called for a motion to approve May’s meeting minutes. D. Berg made a motion to approve May’s meeting minutes. C. D’Agata seconded the motion. All members voted in favor.
C. D’Agata presented the treasurers report; she stated that the balance as of 5/10/10 was $15,003.65. There were no payroll expenses, but $75 was spent per instruction of the Housing Authority for flowers for Cindy Wilson, who resigned from the Authority leaving a balance of $14,928.65.
Old Business
D. Berg told the housing members that he went to New Alliance bank after the last meeting and spoke with Kim Cyr regarding obtaining a signed letter from the bank saying that they were willing to give the Housing Authority a loan if they meet their loan requirements as it is needed for the town to obtain the grant funding from DECD. W. Gangaway said that he went to Rockville bank to ask for the same thing. Both men reported that they had not heard back from either bank.
C. D’Agata asked about the Directors and Officers Insurance. She said that Dave Berto sent an email saying it was in place and she has received a contract but has not received
New Business
R. Campbell told the Housing Authority members that he spoke with State Representative Bryan Hurlburt at the Senior Housing Recreation Center opening and discussed the senior housing building project. He talked to him about how town members have been working on the project for over thirty years and that the state has been slow to give funding. R. Campbell talked about the DECD grant and Mr. Hurlburt said he was willing to make some calls to the state to see what could be done to get the grant funded to the town for the project.
R. Campbell said that he would like the Housing recording clerk to purchase a digital voice recorder for when she is unable to attend meetings so they can be taped. C. D’Agata made a motion for the recording clerk to purchase a digital recorder for $50. W. Gangaway seconded the motion. All members voted in favor.
C. D’Agata made a motion to adjourn at 6:30 PM. W. Gangaway second the motion, all members were in favor.
