Discussion about the water in front of 244 Tolland Turnpike. They are considering putting in metal brown gutters to preserve the wood. No flashing was installed. And we await the certificate.
Glazer House will install 6x6 window restoring the old window that was replaced by a three bay in the victorian era. Also this certificate will soon be handed in. No grant was given for the Glazer Tavern for signage.
Discussion on scenic roads. R. Chinchilla talked about benefits as documented by Town of Woodstock and also the negative that scenic roads cannot prevent development only of the scenic road itself. Documentation must be gathered. Bob Shabbot said he would look into the possible documentation existing from Moose Meadow Road gathered by the Willington Conservation Commission. Vistas, natural scenes, farm fields, stonewalls and old houses can be included. 3-4 older homesteads on both Ruby Rd. and Moose Meadow Road. R. Chinchilla will share the necessary DOT requirements and look through a Glimpse of Willington. Some pictures have been taken. Both Moose Meadow, possibly an old Native American Trail, ending in the historic Moose Meadow Cementary, and within it a couple of older barns, Ruby Fenton Park,
natural vistas, and 3-4 older homesteads, including the schoolhouse. Ruby Rd north of 74 contains 1-2 older homesteads, Ruby Pond, and many old stone fences North of 84. Other possible roads include Marsh Rd, South Willington Rd. and Kusko Rd.
8:10 pm Timothy Blauvelt moved to adjourn, Richard Mueller seconded it. And it was unanymously approved.
