Chairman Jim Bulick called the meeting to order at 7:13 P.M.
SEATING OF ALTERNATES
Elizabeth Treiber motioned to seat Geoff Prusak for John Patton, Peter Tanaka seconded. All were in favor, motion carried.
PRESENT TO SPEAK
Melissa McKinnon, 15 Williams Rd wished they added paraprofessionals back into the budget.
Michelle Shine, 85 Potter School Road agreed with Melissa. Parents had anticipated more be added back in. Important the children be taken care of.
Superintendent Harding explained that there was suppose to be a retirement that is now not happening, but another will be retiring. As savings are found there may be more paraprofessionals hired. That will be a Board of Education decision.
Peter Latincsics, Trask Road, Thanked the Board for their efforts. He appreciates the pie chart explaining the breakdown of the budget. He thanked the Board of Finance and the Superintendent for working together. He's happy that the Board recognized the key issue of the per pupil cost.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Motion to approve the Budget Meeting Minutes of March 17, 2016 was made by Peter Tanaka, Barry Wallett seconded. All were in favor, motion carried.
NEW BUSINESS
Budget Discussions
Chairman Bulick asked the Board if they have any changes they would like to make to the budget. There was no response.
Transfers
The Business Manager submitted a transfer request to cover the audit of the Tax Collector's office due to the Tax Collector retiring.
Barry Wallett motioned to transfer $1,000 to line item #0133, Auditor from line item #0130 Accounting Services, Elizabeth Treiber seconded. All were in favor, motion carried.
It was discussed with the Board whether a motion was needed to send the budget to the Selectmen to go to referendum. The following motion was added:
Peter Tanaka motioned to send the budget as summarized on the 4/05/16 sheet to the Board of Selectmen to move to referendum. Elizabeth Treiber seconded. All were in favor, motion carried.
