REGULAR MEETING MINUTES

Also Present:  Tish Ignatowicz, Treasurer; Lynn Nicholls, Public Works Director; John Patton; Butch Littell, Selectman; Karl Acimovic; Tina Binheimer, Animal Control Officer.


Chairman Ken Schoppmann called the meeting to order at 7:01 P.M.


SEATING OF ALTERNATES

Ken Schoppmann motioned to seat Elizabeth Treiber for Peter Latincsics and Annemarie Poole for Robert Wiecenski.  Alan Ference seconded.  All were in favor, motion carried.


PRESENT TO SPEAK

Alex Strom asked if he could speak at the end of the meeting if he needed to.

Chris Deskus informed the Board that Troop 82 was attending our meeting to work on their merit badge.


APPROVAL OF MINUTES

        Motion to approve the minutes of the June 21, 2012 regular meeting was made by Alan Ference     with the following amendment, Annemarie Poole seconded.  All were in favor, motion carried.

                Page 3, 3rd line under Energy Audit, should read:  The fee would only have to be paid if                        we don't proceed.

NEW BUSINESS

Transfer Requests

Donna Latincsics present the end of year transfers.

        Elizabeth Marco motioned to transfer $800 to line item #0137 Revenue Collector from #0351       Transfer Station.  Alan Ference seconded.  All were in favor, motion carried.

        Elizabeth Marco motioned to transfer $970 to line item #0141 Town Counsel, from #0351   Transfer Station.  Alan Ference seconded.  All were in favor, motioned carried.

        Elizabeth Marco motioned to transfer $823 to line item #0151 Town Clerk, from #0351 Transfer    Station.  Alan Ference seconded.  All were in favor, motion carried.

        Elizabeth Marco motioned to transfer $1,665 to line item #0183 Consulting Engineers, from       #0351 Transfer Station.  Alan Ference seconded.  All were in favor, motion carried.

        Elizabeth Marco motioned to transfer $61 to line item #0235 Fire Main and Hydrant from #0351    Transfer Station.  Alan Ference seconded.  All were in favor, motion carried.

        Elizabeth Marco motioned to transfer $461 to #172 ZBA from #0176 Inland Wetland         commission.  Alan Ference seconded.  All others were in favor, motion carried.


Animal Control Vehicle

Memo was sent to the Board by the Business Manager with a request for funds to purchase a vehicle for the Animal Control Officer.  Discussion followed.  

Dylan Carvar from Troop 82 said he knows of someone who might have a truck to be purchased.

Discussion continued.  

Lisa Marco motioned to transfer $668.80 from Project #03-3048 Turnpike Road Ext, $2,793.06 from Project #03-3055 Burma Road, $538.14 from Project #03-3054 Town Office Floor to #03-ACO Vehicle and transfer  $6,000 from #01-0851 Insurance to 01-0503 Capital Projects.  Alan Ference seconded.  All were in favor, motion carried.

Turnpike Road

Ken Schoppmann summarized the project.  Discussion followed.  The Board decided to table the motion.  They request a current summary of what has been spent.  They would also like an explanation on the use of the Steep Grant.  What the State's expectation and how the money is appropriated.Board of Finance                                                  -3-                                          August 16, 2012
