Chairman Brown called the meeting to order at 7:01 P.M.

Motion made by Jim Harvey to seat Geoff Prusak for Bill Hodge.  Motion seconded by Kathy Blessing.  All in favor, thus motion carried.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Motion to approve minutes of February 26, 2004 was made by Kathy Blessing, Henry Becker seconded.  All in favor, motion passed.

PRESENT TO SPEAK –      Board of Education – Budget Requests

Willington Board of Education Budget proposal 2004-2005:
Connie Berglund, Superintendent and school administrators, as well as members of the Board of Education were present to review their budget request.  The total request is for $6,486,483.00.  This represents an overall increase of 5.18% or  $319,651.  There is expected to be about an 18% increase in health insurance and 9.5% for dental insurance.  Actual figures will not be available till late spring.  Transportation costs will increase 5%.  Current certified salaries are budgeted at negotiated increases in the range of 5% to 6%.  Costs for heating and diesel fuels are increased by 12.5% overall.

General budget discussion – BOF will let involved people know when we will be discussing their proposed budgets.
