Approval of 6/28/11 minutes: Approval of minutes on a motion by CJ/RS, 3 ayes, 1 abstention MS.

Finance:  FY 10/11 balance is $1300.00; FY 11/12 balance is $1750.00
Old Business
FRP-DS:
  • Trails Report: Bridging materials are now at actual building site locations.
  • Concrete bench and picnic table need replacing. RS is researching the issue.
  • An abutting Ashford landowner to the park reports ATV traffic on Burma Road.
  • Burma Road: Temporary repair on the roadbed has ceased. IWWC sent (7/17/11) the Town a Notice of Violation concerning Burma Road and FRP-DS. They are in violation of IWWC’s regulations
Next month’s agenda should include date selection for a site walk @ FRP-DS to inspect Burma Road and ATV traffic near FRP-DS
Town Development: PZC: No news.~ IWWC: 8/15/11, public hearing concerning the proposed Love’s truck stops on Polster Rd.
Open Space /Easement Monitoring: tabled
  • Peck’s Mill: tabled.
  • Talmadge Conservation Tract: tabled.
Programs:  No programs are scheduled at this time.

  • Joshua’s Trust: No news.
  • Windham County Conservation Consortium: No news.
  • Dark Skies – Last Green Valley: No news.
Knowlton Purchase Update: The conservation easement for the property has been filed with the DEEP.  The CFPA is also preparing a conservation easement for the Knowlton property. The tract will be known as The Royal Knowlton Preserve on the decision of the Knowlton family. A sign for the property as required by the grant from the DEEP is on order.
  • Placement of the sign will need to be decided.
  • A trail will need to be established for Park Day.
  • Boundary markers, public use signs need to be installed.
  • Suggestion for vendors to consider for The Royal Knowlton Preserve management plan was discussed.
Other CJ submitted the SCORP survey. There will not be a booth at the Willington Flea Market this year.

Communications: Various communications were received and discussed.
Other: The Daley Award will be added to the agenda
