Old Business:  Discussion of December 7, 2010 drive-around  site-walk of Charter Communications green, pole-mounted, power supply lights in Willington, Ashford and Mansfield was held.   The Commission’s concerns centered around the intrusive brightness of these lights degrading the rural character of our town and surrounding towns.  A series of questions regarding the necessity, possible alternatives and potential for increasing the number (now 36 in Willington) of these devices were compiled to be forwarded by P. Andersen to Charter.   The Commission thought a meeting with Charter representatives might be an efficient way to communicate on this issue.  Selectman Mailhos will be informed of our concerns and results of our discussion.
Old Business:  The commission discussed priorities and concerns, and perceived opportunities and challenges in preparation for a presentation at the January 12, 2011 “Status of the Town” meeting at the Willington Library.
Next Meeting: January 25, 2011
Adjournment:  Meeting adjourned at 8:45 pm
Respectfully submitted:  Peter Andersen, Secretary pro tem
