2/24/09 Meeting Minutes
Call to order:~ P. Andersen called the meeting to order at 7:05 PM.
Present: P. Andersen, L. Centola, K. Demers, M. Drobney, C. Jordan, M. Schreiber, P. Pribula, R. Shabot .
Approval of 12/16/08 minutes: Motion: KD/ CJ : The minutes of 1/27/2009 approved. RS abstained, 6 ayes.
Present to speak: NA
Treasurers Report: The balance for the FY 08/09 budget.is $467.00
Old Business
FRP-DS:
Trails Report: No new reports.
Park Activities: The Star Party was held on 2/21. There was solid attendance and a good night of gazing. The Wildlife Video program is set for 4/3/2009.
Willimantic River Alliance: ~No report. On a motion by CJ/RS: The WCC will contribute $50.00 for annual dues to the Willimantic River Alliance Unanimous.
Town Development: No new reports.
CC Website Development: LC reports steady progress on web design. PA provided a draft of a Mission Statement that will posted on the site. The FAQ portion of the site was edited and discussed.
Open Space /Easement Monitoring: The town owned parcel on Ruby Road and Laurel Estates open space easement will be monitored on 3/8/09 @ 1pm.
Willimantic Greenway: Pecks Mill Site-Last Green Valley: Source to the Sea Expedition (LGV): Peck’s Mill site still needs attention. LGV brochure was sent to CFPA for inclusion in their Trail Days brochure.
Knowlton Purchase: Healy & Associates, LLC’s contract for surveying the parcel has not been signed at this time.
CC input to PZC subdivision regulations PA will draft a position document for review.
2009-2010 Budget: The FY 09/10 budget for WCC was submitted to the Board of Finance at $2000.00..
New Business
Communications: Incoming mail was dispersed. ~
