SPECIAL MEETING OCT. 29, 2007
TOWN OFFICE BUILDING 5:30 P.M.
First Selectman Eldredge called the meeting to order at 5:31 P.M. with the following in attendance: Selectmen Patton & Lewis, L. Nicholls and residents.
PUBLIC WORKS
The Board signed bills and leave requests. Everything that is necessary for PZC for Senior Housing has been done. The permit must be signed off by Eastern Highlands Health District, the Building Inspector, the Fire Marshal and the Zoning Agent for the final certificate of occupancy. The Fire Marshal is having a walk through on Tues. 10/30 at 7 PM. Selectman Lewis commented Access needs to give a list of occupants to the Post Office. Lynn commented Karl asked about the decision on Kucko Road. Discussion on this followed. Karl & Lynn will get bids from other contractors for this. The Board feels this safety issue should be addressed as soon as possible and should take priority over some other things. Discussion followed on the bus turn-a-round on Eldredge Mills Road;
nothing has been done about that yet. Discussion followed on replacing the suburban and the pick up. The decision was to replace the suburban only; Lynn will check if a plow package comes with the 2001 Expedition for $3,250 (the State lowered the price today). Further discussion followed on the pick up truck. Studded snow tires or a ½ waste block will be tried with the pick up. Lynn commented she is still checking on prices for metal plows.
SELECTMAN PATTON MOVED TO ADJOURN THE MEETING AT 6:03 P.M.
First Selectman Eldredge seconded the motion.
