SPECIAL MEETING OCT. 23, 2007
TOWN OFFICE BUILDING 6:30 P.M.
First Selectman Eldredge called the meeting to order at 6:35 P.M. with the following in attendance: Selectmen Patton & Lewis, L. Nicholls and residents.

FIRST SELECTMAN ELDREDGE MOVED TO APPROVE THE FOLLOWING CALL FOR THE TOWN MEETING.
Selectman Patton seconded the motion.
VOTE: 3 YES (ELDREDGE, PATTON & LEWIS) 0 NO
The electors of the Town of Willington and all persons who are entitled to vote in Town Meeting on the matters mentioned in the following warning are hereby warned and notified to meet in Town Meeting at the TOWN HALL at 11 COMMON ROAD in Willington on October 30, 2007 at 7:00 P.M. for the following purposes:
ITEM I
To see if the townspeople, on the recommendation of the Board of Finance, will authorize the
appropriation of $40,000 from Capital Projects-LOCIP to provide contingency funding for the Hall School water main extension contract. This appropriation is to be reimbursed by the State of Connecticut Local Capital Improvement Program.
ITEM II
To see if the townspeople, on the recommendation of the Board of Selectmen will accept Angela Lane and Ashley Lane as Town roads.

PUBLIC WORKS
The Board signed bills. Discussion on the compact followed, DeVivo called Lynn, she is going to call him back.
The chemical shed was delivered today, discussion on this followed. Lynn received 2 bids out of 4 for the enclosure the state wants done. She will check with the low bidder on the texture 111 to be used. They were cleaning today, metal will go to Willimantic Waste and unidentified items will go to the Hazardous Waste. Discussion on concrete pads followed, it was decided only one pad is needed, Lynn will check the price for it. Lynn reported that to reset the posts and put in new latches would be $450. Getting a price for a shed roof was discussed, Lynn will get a price for that. The new permits for the Transfer Station were discussed; SWAC would like the permits to be given out at the TOB. Ed Taimen was to come back to a Board meeting.
SELECTMAN PATTON MOVED TO ADJOURN THE MEETING AT 7:05 P.M.
Selectman Lewis seconded the motion.
