BOARD OF SELECTMEN
SPECIAL MEETING                                                                                                           August 2, 2007
TOWN OFFICE BUILDING                                                                                                              5:30 P.M.

Mike Eldredge called to order the Board of Selectman’s meeting with the following in attendance: Selectman Patton and Lewis, and Lynn Nichols.

PUBLIC WORKS

Lynn gave the board bills from Public Works.

Lynn reported that she had to show AT&T what wires needed to be removed from Tinkerville Road Bridge so construction can begin.  She stated that all the equipment has been moved and they are ready to start at 6:00 A.M. Monday morning.  She stated that the road would be closed at this time as well.

Lynn stated that the lifts along with the rest of the parts for the backhoe came in today, but the backhoe is still not working properly.  They still do not have hydraulic power so it needs to go back to the shop and a rental will be necessary.

Lynn went over the items Public Works will be doing in the upcoming weeks.  She stated that the cracked ceiling will be dealt with next week, the catch basins will be cleaned in two weeks and on Monday they will begin asphalting to get ready for chip sealing.

The board discussed the line of site at Fed Ex.
Lynn mentioned that she contacted Laidlaw and left a message for Heidi to call her back.

The board opened bids from contractors for snow plowing.  They all came in at $90.  The board asked Lynn to put together numbers for Monday’s meeting stating what she feels the town needs, how many trucks, etc.

FIRST SELECTMAN ELDREDGE MOVED TO ADJOURN THE MEETING AT 6:50 P.M.
Selectman John Patton seconded the motion.
