MINUTES OF THE PLANNING BOARD PUBLIC HEARING
PROPOSAL TO AMEND SECTION 6.2.A. OF THE ZONING BYLAWS:
TO CLARIFY LANGUAGE AND BE IN COMPLIANCE WITH TOWN’S GENERAL BYLAWS ARTCILE XI, SECTION 1, REGARDING COMPOSITION OF THE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS
DECEMBER 12, 2007
MEMBERS PRESENT: Chair Patricia Halpin, John Baker, Karen Paré, Lawrence Salate, Vincent Vignaly
MEMBERS ABSENT: None
OTHERS PRESENT: Jeff Nathan, Kevin McCormick, Joe Evangelista, David Brunelle, William Moulton
Ms. Halpin opened the public hearing at 8:45 p.m. and Ms. Paré read the legal notice of public hearing that was published in the Telegram & Gazette on November 28th and December 5th. Ms. Halpin stated that this change was requested by the Board of Selectmen and the aim of this proposed change is to ensure that the Zoning Bylaws of the town match those of the General Bylaws of the town in language concerning the composition of the members of the Zoning Board of Appeals. Language from the General Bylaws, as shown on a handout distributed at the hearing, will be used in the Zoning Bylaws if this proposed change is approved.
Upon motion of Mr. Vignaly and second of Mr. Salate, it was unanimously voted to continue this public hearing until January 9, 2008 at 7:10 p.m.
