EDTF Meeting Minutes November 24, 2014 6:00 PM
Opening: The regular meeting was called to order by Chair John Hadley at the Town Hall Location at 140 Worcester St West Boylston
Present: Chair John Hadley,Chris Rucho, Barbara Watts and Maryann Schelin
Agenda: Discuss new sign, discuss Kiosk at rail trail, new ideas to promote the Town, discuss possible future meetings with the Business Community, adjournment.
New Sign : Sign has been installed. EDTF recommends relocating the sign back to its original place and commented that it appears smaller.
Kiosk Discussion : The location of the Kiosk was flagged and reviewed. All approved. EDTF would like to also request the Garden Club and /or Boys and Girl Scouts to volunteer to pass out water, refreshments at the location and hand out area business coupons to support the Town. We would like to get Nancy's and Leon's input
New ideas to promote the Town: Discussions on grants available to the Town. Sidewalks along Malden St, Rte 12, and the Center of Town. EDTF recommends to bring back the Business Tours and Business Round Table. Slogan and advertise: "How can we help you as a business owner! Please attend our next Round table meeting ! EDTF recommends Leon Gaumond and Representative James O"Day to attend our next meeting in January to help promote the Round Table. Early evening hours recommended for the Round tables to assure community attendance.
