Chair Justina Carlson called the meeting to order at 705 p.m.
Coordinator’s Report
Coordinator Michaela Miteva presented her Office Report of December 4, 2012.1 This included: financials, a survey update, budget meetings and potential clean water refill stations.
WhiteWater Report
Roy Maher delivered the WhiteWater Operator’s Report of December 4, 2012. 2 His report covered: a sanitary survey by the DEP, a problem with the Coles Neck SCADA system, the ongoing paving project on Commercial St., coliform testing at the tank, October pumping data, and other work. The Wellfleet Board of Health had submitted a letter to the Board of Water Commissioners requesting a response to questions on the coliform testing. 3 Roy Maher will follow-up on the letter from the Board of Health.
USDA Grant
The Water Commissioners and Michaela Miteva discussed the door to door survey they had conducted. They counted the positive responses. Members discussed the approach for securing the USDA grant. They will continue to collect information from the survey. The maps of nitrate levels in the downtown area will be presented at the next meeting with the Board of Selectmen. Each Commissioner will prepare a portion of the presentation to the Selectmen.
Minutes
Bill Carlson moved to approve the minutes of November 13, 2012. Justina Carlson seconded, and the motion carried 5-0.
Justina Carlson moved to approve the minutes of November 20, 2012. Hood seconded, and the motion carried 4-0.
Adjournment
Justina moved to adjourn. Bill Carlson seconded, and the motion carried 5-0. The meeting was adjourned at 8:45 p.m.
