Minutes Board of Water Commissioners March 22, 2010
Town Hall Hearing Room
Meeting convened 6:35 PM Emily Beebe, Steve Gazzano, Jean Schaefer, Lori Vanderschmidt, Dan Wexman Visitor, Jack Gould. Emily Beebe chaired the meeting
Helen Wilson and Paul Renaud attended the public hearing. Helen suggested we include a mission statement, an emergency statement and definitions of the Board of Water Commissioners and the Municipal Water System. In defining the water system we should focus on the system as pipes and accoutrements not as a decision making entity. The BWC members will make the appropriate revisions.
Mr. Renaud inquired whether the boy scouts could camp in another Wellfleet location since the water well for the expanded water system is located in the old boy scout camp and is no longer an option for camping. Mr. Renaud was assured that we would locate another camping place for his troupe.
The BWC will have meetings March2 9th,April 5, `12th and 19th.
Water tank color.
The BWC voted 4/1 on the paint color “tank white”.
Town Meetings Plan
The BWC is planning handouts in preparation for the town meeting April 26. BWC members will give handouts to citizens at the Wellfleet Center Post Office and at the Transfer Station on April 17th and 24th.
The group developed a draft for the warrant article explanation.
