Minutes of Meeting of February 6, 2007
Senior Center Conference Room
Present: Mark Berry, Chair; Lynn Hiller, Emily Beebe,
Absent: Moe Barocas, Julia Willecke
Chairman Mark Berry called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. He read letters from John Riehl of the Natural Resources Advisory Board (NRAB) and Shelia Vanderhoef, the Eastham Town Administrator regarding water resources. Berry said the Board could review the Environmental Partners hand-outs from Tim Smith on their own before the next meeting.
Emily Beebe said she would investigate the issues raised in a letter by John Riehl of the NRAB. Beebe will follow up with another question of pumping at Coles Neck and the Boy Scout Camp.
The Board of Selectmen and the Eastham BOS will be asked to address the letter from Shelia Vanderhoef. The Committee Secretary will set this in motion.
Irmgard Boriskin’s letter will be discussed at the next meeting when there is a quorum to discuss her request. Berry said he has to recuse himself from the discussion.
Paul Gabriel will meet with the BWC at the February 20, 2007 meeting. The Board would like to discuss water tower location and other questions with him.
The Board examined a memo from Town Administrator Tim Smith to Mike Quink of the DEP regarding the public water at the Fire Station.
Berry asked that the BWC be informed and/or invited to any further meetings that include EPG, the DPW and the Town Administrator. The Board agreed to send the Town Administrator a memo to that effect.
Beebe moved to approve the minutes of January 16, 2007. Hiller seconded, and the motion carried 3-0.
Berry moved to adjourn. Beebe seconded, and the motion carried 3-0. The meeting adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
