NEW BUSINESS
Discussion of Bath House Presentation for Pre-Town Meeting and Town Meeting:
The Committee critiqued the presentation, determining what would be most relevant to the audience. It was decided to point out the nitrogen levels at the Marina and the over usage of that system. The committee determined it would be advantageous to refer to the grant money available should the Town approve the warrant. During the presentation, it will be explained what level of nitrogen will be released from the composting system versus a standard system and an I/A system. Should people be concerned about the new FEMA maps and new elevations, the budget contingency for building and system have accounted for the change. Curt Felix will highlight the awards and grants already given to the town. The committee will author a one page hand out and be prepared to answer questions of the audience/town
people. It was recommended to advise people that the presentation is on the Town web site. Ned Hitchcock will make arrangements for the equipment for the pre-Town Meeting.
The Cape Cod Water Protection Collaborative has agreed to give the committee $75,000 to continue water testing, cultch and monitoring for the oyster project. $20,000 must be spent before June. Andrew Gottlieb and Curt Felix are working on the details.
Waquoit Presentation: Ned Hitchcock pointed out there are time restraints for the presentation and after review, a few pages were eliminated. Meeting will be held on April 30, 2013.
