Comprehensive Wastewater Management Planning Committee
November 2, 2010, 2:30 pm
Wellfleet DPW Conference Room
Present: Alex Hay, Curt Felix, Ned Hitchcock, Bob Larson, Lezli Rowell, and Hillary Greenberg-Lemos.
Guests: David DeLorenzo from the State Dept. of Environmental Protection, Andrew Gottlieb of the Barnstable County Water Protection Collaborative, and Mike Giggery of Wright Pierce
Chair Hay called the meeting to order at 2:30 pm.
The guests made a presentation on the cost comparison report created by the Barnstable County Wastewater Cost Task Force.
The Committee discussed Wellfleet’s needs and current research projects. The committee is hoping the Estuaries Report will reflect that Wellfleet is in pretty good shape, but acting proactively with its consultant to ensure Wellfleet meets its compliance requirements at the lowest possible cost including aggressive evaluation of improving natural remediation through estuary recovery and increased shellfish..
Ned Hitchcock moved to adjourn at 4:15 pm; seconded by Lezli Rowell; passed 5-0.
