Comprehensive Wastewater Management Planning Committee
September 21, 2010, 2:30 pm
Wellfleet DPW Conference Room
Present: Alex Hay, Curt Felix, Ned Hitchcock, Bob Larson, Lezli Rowell, Hillary Greenberg-Lemos, Christine Bates, Committee Secretary
Chair Hay called the meeting to order at 2:35 pm.
Applications for the RFP were distributed to each member of the committee, with Bob Larson and Alex Hay sharing a set. There were a total of eight responses and proposals. Agent Greenberg-Lemos requested the members write their questions/comments on individual application review sheets. She also recommended writing down why an application was not chosen so the companies know why they were rejected. She requested the committee rate the top three for interviews.
At the October 3, 2010 meeting, the members will discuss their findings of the applications and Agent Greenberg-Lemos requested a hard copy be provided to her and Rex Peterson by October 5, 2010 with their recommendations and ratings. A matrix of the results will be compiled and Agent Greenberg-Lemos will schedule interviews for October 19, 2010.
Meeting Minutes: Alex moved to approve the August 24, 2010 meeting minutes as amended; seconded by Lezli Rowell, passed 4-0.
New Business: NRAB would like to work with the committee to add additional information to the Town web site including the 2006 Harbor Management Plan and Pond Management Plan. John Riehl wants to discuss the nitrogen issues in estuaries and ponds with the committee. There was discussion on educating the public, and Lezli Rowell suggested having a general knowledge program in the summer and Curt Felix suggested a more technical program in the winter. Alex Hay asked Curt Felix to contact NRAB and other potential stakeholders.
Lezli Rowell moved to adjourn at 3:00 pm; seconded by Ned Hitchcock; passed 5-0.
