Open Session & Announcements
¨       Jerry Houk would like an agenda Item about the Cape Codder article regarding 30B.

New Business
1.      Contract for Fire Station General Contractor
MOTION: To move that the Board of Selectmen reject the bid of Barr, Inc., on the grounds that Barr does not demonstrably possess the skill and ability necessary to faithfully perform the work on the Wellfleet Fire Station project and is therefore not a responsible bidder for this project, as shown by reports and comments from references from several prior and current projects indicating poor work coordination, ineffective management of subcontractors and failure to complete projects within the required time.
Motion by:  Ira Wood.           Seconded by:  Dale Donovan.             Yea 5      Nay  0

MOTION: To move that the Board of Selectmen vote to award the Wellfleet Fire Station contract to Bufftree Building Company, the second lowest bidder for the Wellfleet Fire Station Project.
Motion by:  Dale Donovan.               Seconded by:  Ira Wood.         Yea 5      Nay  0

2.      Contract for Town Administrator
The contract has not been agreed upon at this time. Mr. Sieloff’s first scheduled day in the office on January 7th, 2008. The board would like to meet this Saturday, December 22 at 9am in the conference room of Town Hall.

Future Meetings/Agendas
¨       Environmental Partners would like to meet with the Board to give an update on all the projects. Possibly the 22nd of January.
¨       Local Comprehensive Planning Committee would like to meet the second meeting in February.
¨       Budget should be ready either this week or next for the board to review.


MOTION: To move that the Board of Selectmen adjourn the special meeting.
