Minutes
The meeting was called to order at 7:01 p.m. by Chairman Roger L. Putnam, Jr. Selectmen present included Michael May, Dale Donovan, Michael Parlante and Jerry Houk. Town Administrator Tim Smith also attended.
Selectman Donovan announced that the Wellfleet Community Forum will be presenting a program regarding Route 6 motor vehicle crashes on Thursday, May 23rd at 7:00 p.m. in the Library.
Open Session:
Candace Perry addressed the Board regarding the proposed regional waste disposal facility Brent Harold addressed the Board regarding siting of the proposed regional waste disposal facility and brush cutting along Old Long Pond Road. Assistant DPW Director Kevin Cahoon explained the DPWhad withdrawn their applications. There was consensus to turn the sand road matter over to the Chairman of the Park Commissioners for recommendation.
On a motion by Parlante, seconded by May, the Board voted unanimously to approve the minutes of April 8, 2002 as printed.
On a motion by May, seconded by Donovan, the Board voted 3-0-2, with Putnam and Houk abstaining (they had not attended the meeting), to approve the minutes of April 16, 2002, as printed.
On a motion by May, seconded by Parlante, the Board voted unanimously to approve the minutes of April 22, 2002 as printed.
On a motion by Parlante, seconded by Donovan, the Board voted unanimously to approve the minutes of May 6, 2002 as printed.
On a motion by Parlante, seconded by Donovan, the Board voted unanimously to release the executive session minutes dated 9/11/00, 9/18/00, 9/22/00, 9/23/00, 9/25/00, 9/28/00, 9/30/00, 10/13/00, 10/16/00, 10/20/00.

Selectman Donovan presented his correspondence report.
The Board held the following Shellfish Department public hearings consecutively. Selectman Donovan read the public notice. Selectman Parlante disclosed that he holds a commercial shellfish permit, has a shellfish grant license and owns waterfront property. Selectman May disclosed that he holds a commercial shellfish permit. Chairman Putnam disclosed that he holds a senior commercial shellfish permit. Shellfish Constable Bill Walton was in attendance and presented his recommendations.
Application received from Myron, Judy, Rebecca and Anna Taylor for a .937 acre extension of shellfish grant license #734 located at Mayo Beach Application from Ronald Buck for a one acre extension of shellfish grant license #2000-7 recommendation of the Shellfish Constable to deny this application without prejudice, the Board voted 2-2, with Houk and Donovan voting against. The motion failed. On a motion by Houk, seconded by Donovan, to grant this extension, the Board voted 2-2, with Putnam and May voting against. The motion failed. Selectman Parlante rejoined the Board.
Recommendation of the Shellfish Constable to amend Section V (Open and Closed Areas that the Shellfish Constable examine whether shellfish grant license areas are being utilized.
