Minutes of Meeting June 22, 2011

Present: Peter Hall, Chair; John Ketchum, Jan Plaue, Marcia Seeler, Judy Taylor, Deirdre Poole, Elaine McIlroy, Terry Gips

Chairman Peter Hall called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m.
Minutes of 5/25/11
Plaue moved to approve the minutes of May 25, 2011. Seeler seconded, and the motion carried 6-0.
Progress Report from Representatives of Pond Hill School
Chuck Cole and Deb Giza had good news for funding for the Pond Hill School project. The Massachusetts Historic Commission (MHC) has granted them $50,000* and the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Fund for Historic Interiors has granted $7,000. This allows them to move out of the fundraising period and go forward with the restoration. Deb Giza displayed a poster highlighting the entire fund raising campaign. Pond Hill School will be meeting with MHC on July 7, 2011 and will need a letter stating the amount of Wellfleet CPA funds at their disposal. Deb Giza answered questions from the Committee on future maintenance and use of the kitchen. She and Chuck Cole discussed possible uses for the hall.
Terms of Office Reminder
Peter Hall reminded members to be sworn into their respective boards if their terms of service are about to expire.
Other Business
Marcia Seeler said two new Historic projects are anticipated in July.
Elaine McIlroy reported on interest in the Buy Down program for Housing.
Agenda for Next Meeting
New applications are expected for consideration at the July 27, 2011 meeting.

Plaue moved to adjourn. Poole seconded, and the motion carried 9-0. The meeting was adjourned at 10:05 a.m.
