Minutes of Meeting February 9, 2010

Chairman Peter Hall called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m.
Agenda Additions
Judy Taylor asked to add an item on Housing.
Minutes of 1/26/10
Plaue moved to approve the minutes of January 26, 2011. Seeler seconded and the motion carried 7-0.
Application #11-02 Recreation
Recreation Director Becky Rosenberg presented an amended application that was scaled back to a field and storage shed. The field is still considered as a community heath, fitness and recreation area. The size of the field is 135ft. x 200ft., the size of an official U-12 junior high school size field. The request for the project is now $150,000. DPW Director Mark Vincent discussed maintenance plans for the field. The shed estimate was approximately $24,000. CPC requested that Recreation submit a specific list of costs in a revised application. DPW maintenance expectations also need to be included in the application. Any “in kind” services should be included in the plan. Any further letters of support for the field will be helpful. Staffing needs should be included in the proposal. CPC and Rosenberg discussed potential uses of the field. Mark Vincent reminded everyone that the project would have to go out for bid. CPC would also like to see alternative plans for the
storage shed.
Pond Hill School Historic Restriction
Marcia Seeler reported that the Pond Hill School Preservation Restriction was signed by Pond Hill School representatives and that the Historic Commission is now signing the document.
Housing Concern
Judy Taylor explained that Affordable Housing is now collecting rents. The Housing Authority asked if the money was supposed to be given to CPC. The money does not come back to CPC; it should be put in a fund for upkeep of the rental property.
Agenda for Next Meeting
Recreation will be back with the revised Application #11-02 at the February 23, 2011 meeting. There will also be a progress report for Pond Hill School.

Plaue moved to adjourn. Seeler seconded, and the meeting was adjourned at 10:55 a.m.
