Community Preservation Committee
Minutes of Meeting February 25, 2009
Wellfleet Town Hall Hearing Room

Present: Peter Hall, Chairman; Barbara E. Gray, Elaine McIlroy, Judy Taylor, Marcia Seeler
Regrets: Jan Plaue, Terry Gips, John Ketchum

Chairman Peter Hall called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.

LCPC Goals
Paul Pilcher came forward to discuss LCPC Goals that should be considered by the CPC.  He suggested additional Recreational activities for the senior population.  The other goal for Open Space is that linkages of conservation land be included. These should be added to the CPC needs list in order to ensure consistency with the LCPC goals.  Recreational goals are included in “Community Facilities,” Pilcher said. CPC and Pilcher discussed regional coordination.

Draft Warrant Articles
The financial projections for the percentage Article were reviewed.  The Housing Now Article needed to be adjusted since the projected funds for FY2010 will not cover the entire request. Gray moved to approve $300,000.  McIlroy seconded.  The motion carried 5-0.    CPC will hold another meeting in March to make its recommendations on the Community Preservation Articles.  The language for the Articles and the explanations were tweaked, but Town Counsel still needs to review the Warrant.

Coalition Dues
Gray moved to approve $1,500 for CPA Coalition dues. McIlroy seconded and the motion carried 5-0.

Minutes of 11/20/08 and 12/17/08
