Minutes of Meeting Wednesday, June 6, 2007
Town Hall Hearing Room, 7:00 p.m.
Present: R. Dennis O’Connell, Ronald Harper, Alfred Pickard, Stephen Oliver, David Rowell; Rex Peterson, Assistant Town Administrator
Absent: Barbara Gray, Gerald Parent
Chairman O’Connell called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m.
Rex Peterson displayed the Nextel Tower landscaping plan. Verizon did not give a time line for the revegetation of the area around the tower. Verizon agreed to an irrigation system and plantings of 20 Leland cypress, 21 white pines, 14 Eastern red cedar and 7 white spruce. Peterson did want Verizon to establish a deadline for the plantings. O’Connell moved to approve the plan subject to the establishment of a time line. Oliver seconded. The motion carried 5-0.
Harper moved to approve the amended minutes of May 16, 2007. Oliver seconded and the motion carried 5-0.
In the mail was a court case account of an Orleans grandfathered lot which Police Chief Rosenthal had called to the attention of the Planning Board. Wellfleet already follows the practice of allowing development of grandfathered undersize lots, according to PB.
The Board discussed non-compliant structures that did not have special permits when they were originally built. PB will invite the Building Inspector to come to a meeting to discuss the issues involved.
By consensus the meeting adjourned at 7:40 p.m.
