Minutes of Meeting Wednesday, January 24, 2007
Town Hall Hearing Room, 7:00 p.m.
Present: R. Dennis O’Connell, Barbara Gray, Gerald Parent, Stephen Oliver, Rex Peterson, Assistant Town Administrator
Absent: Ronald Harper, David Rowell, Alfred Pickard
Chairman Dennis O’Connell called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m.
Mail
Noted in the mail were: a notice of the retirement party for Cindy Norris and David Darakjy; the schedule of deadlines for the April 23, 2007 Annual Town Meeting; a brochure for a Planning and Zoning Conference in Worcester March 17; and an Eligibility Summary for the Subsidized Housing Inventory (SHI).
Minutes of 12/6/06
O’Connell moved to approve the minutes of December 6, 2006. Oliver seconded and the motion carried 4-0.
Subdivision Regulations Revision
The work committee on revision of the Subdivision Regulations had submitted in advance suggestions for Sections 2, 3 and 4. “As-built” regulations, not included in the current document, and Cluster Subdivisions were topics of particular concern. Beginning with Section 1, the Board reviewed regulations that should be modified or eliminated from the Nantucket model. New regulations that might be feasible were also considered.
Planning Board progressed to Section 2.06B “Contents of the Definitive Plan” and will continue the revision process at a future meeting. The Committee Secretary will get the adoption date of Subdivision Control Law from the Town Clerk and will check with Slade Associates for the edition of the Wellfleet Subdivision Regulations that they use. The Board agreed that some of the regulations should be checked for clarity by an engineer.

Gray moved to adjourn. Parent seconded, and the motion carried 4-0. The meeting adjourned at 9:15 p.m.
