NRAB Minutes
September 2 2011
9 AM, THHR
Attending: John Duane, John Riehl, Ned Hitchcock
Ø       Disposal of Town Property; memo of  7/25/2010
o       Memo listed several properties to be disposed of by the Town. Most did not concern NRAB. The meeting noted the correspondence from Ned Hitchcock that the Town maintain 14-112 (for wastewater) and (35-173) for local water system. Duane noted that 24-2/44 could be nearly ocean front land with views. Riehl noted that 30-606 was landlocked conservation land anyway.
o       Committee voted 3-0 to send the following letter to Peterson & OSC

NRAB met on Friday September 2 to consider the most recent proposals for disposition of Town properties (memo from Rex Peterson dated~July 25~2011).~~~ NRAB has specific recommendations on four of the listed properties:
~
~~~ > 14/112 - 90 Freeman Rd. Property to be retained for now by the Town for possible use as part of a comprehensive waste water plan.
~
~~~ > 24/2-44 - 0 Ocean View Drive. Property to be retained by the Town as having value as an ocean view lookout and/or a way to the outer beach. (If this is not ocean front property now, it soon will be.)
~
~~~ > 35/173 - 0 Pleasant Point Road. Priority in use of this parcel should go to the Pleasant Point water system.
~
~~~ > 30/606 - 0 South of Wireless. This is conservation land, landlocked by CCNS. The seashore~may wish to purchase it or it could be donated to them in trade for some other (future) benefit to the Town.
~
Sincerely,
John Riehl
Chair, NRAB

Ø       Riehl raised the issue of upgrade of old cesspools to Title V, even if not failing and if no land transfer had taken place. This had originally been suggested by GUPACA. Duane felt the cost outweighed the risk. No action taken

Meeting adjourned 9:30
