Minutes of Meeting of November 6, 2007
Town Hall Hearing Room, 8:30 a.m.
Present: Patricia Foley, Chair; Berta Bruinooge, Robert Kelly, Arlene Kirsch, John Makely, Sylvia Smith, Mac Hay
Absent: Dennis Murphy, Nancy Bone
Also Attending: Town Treasurer Dawn Rickman, Town Accountant Marilyn Crary
Chair Pat Foley called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m.
Dawn Rickman discussed amortization figures for the fire station. Marilyn Crary gave the current Free Cash figure of $618,662.
Article 9 Affordable Housing for 2082 State Highway/Route 6
Kirsch moved to vacate FinCom’s last vote on Article 9. Bruinooge seconded, and the motion carried 7-0.
Makely moved to approve Article 9. Kirsch seconded. The motion carried 7-0.
Article 10 Historical Society’s Museum
Kirsch moved to vacate the previous vote. Makely seconded, and the motion carried 7-0. Kirsch moved to recommend Article 10. Hay seconded, and the motion carried 5-2.
Berta Bruinooge recused herself from the meeting.
Article 11 Wellfleet Preservation Hall
Hay moved to vacate the previous vote. Smith seconded, and the motion carried 6-0.
Hay moved to recommend Article 11. Makely seconded. Discussion ensued on intended votes and additions to the FinCom comments for the Warrant regarding the Purchase & Sale agreement. The motion to recommend Article 11 carried 2-1-3.
Bruinooge returned to the meeting.
Kirsch suggested that the Warrant comments to reflect the reasons for the three abstentions.
Article 12 Skateboard Park
Makely moved to vacate the previous vote. Smith seconded and the motion carried 7-0.
Kirsch moved to not recommend. Smith seconded. Kirsch had further comments for the Warrant. The motion to not recommend carried 7-0.
Minutes of 11/1/07
Hay said he needed to amend the minutes of Nov. 1 and email them before FinCom approved them.
Adjournment
Foley moved to adjourn; Kirsch seconded. The meeting adjourned at 9:00 a.m.
