Minutes of Conservation Commission Public Meeting

Paul Banner, Ed Reynolds, and Cyndi Moe

Meeting called to order at 4:00 P.M. by Co-Chair John DiBlasio

Business Meeting:

Paul Banner updated the Commission on the Comprehensive Planning Committee’s activities.

A discussion took place between the Commission and Dick Lay regarding the ACEC and future regulations.  

Public Hearings:

Alfred Pickard for David & Aida Donald, 140 Old Briar Cliff Road, Map 35, Parcels 38 and 39:  NOI:  Replace existing concrete retaining wall with timber retaining wall using same footprint (Cont’d from 12/7/05).  A DEP number was assigned.  The Natural Heritage responded stating there would be no adverse affects.  Ed Reynolds moved to approve the NOI with conditions; seconded by Paul Banner; passed 5-0.  The current zig zag fence is to repaired to its original state.  Ginie Page is supervisor.

Town of Wellfleet, Uncle Tim’s Bridge and Hamblin Park (Cannon Hill), Map 15, Parcels 150 and 151:  RDA:  trail repair and enhancement on Cannon Hill, repair of bridge abutments using crushed stone (work performed by Americorps volunteers).  Ed Reynolds
moved to find this a Negative 3; seconded by Cyndi Moe; passed 5-0.    



Dr. James and Joyce Spencer, 115 Baker Road, Map 29, Parcel 339:  RDA:  Pump existing septic system and fill with sand.  Ed Reynolds moved to find this a Negative 3; seconded by Paul Banner; passed 5-0.

Christian and Janet Kaefer, 205 Gull Pond Road, Map 8, Parcel 64:  NOI:  Remove existing deck, construct new addition, deck and screened porch.  After discussion, Paul Banner moved to approve the NOI; seconded by Ed Reynolds; passed 5-0.  A silt fence is to be installed with wildlife passage.  An updated plan identifying the riverfront area is to be submitted to the Commission.  John DiBlasio is the supervisor.

Cyndi Moe moved to adjourn the meeting at 5:30 pm; seconded by Ed Reynolds; passed 5-0.
